Homecoming

Jason Morgan exited the elevator that morning unaware that his life was about to be turned upset down in a matter of minutes. His plan for that day was to go down to the dock to check on the shipments for that day then go to see Elizabeth Webber. As soon as he made his way to the lobby he saw a mocha complexion beauty at the front desk. She had her back to him but he knew who it was without her looking at him. He stopped in a trance as he looked at the dark haired woman dressed in a baby blue jumpsuit with luggage at her side.

Keesha, who had been waiting patiently for her key, felt someone staring at her. She ignored the feeling as she waited. When the desk clerk handed her the key she turned to find Jason standing the middle of the lobby as if in a trance. She took the key from the desk clerk, picked up her two suitcases and walked past him without speaking towards the elevator. She felt his gaze follow her until she was safely in the elevator with the doors closed.

Once in the elevator, Keesha let out a breath that she didn’t know she was holding. She knew that she would eventually run into him but she didn’t expect for it to be so soon. It took her six years to fully get Jason Quartermaine out of her system. She tried to get Jason out of her system by dating AJ, his brother but realized it was a mistake. The whole time she dated AJ she secretly hoped that Jason would one day remember her and the love that they once shared. After the death of her father, she then realized she had to make a change in her life. That’s when she moved to New York City with her cousin enrolled in college.

She dated a few guys while in college but never found the love that she so wanted back when she was with Jason. Then she met Dominick Williams, a prominent attorney with his own practice, while working at the hospital. He was everything she ever wanted in a man. He was smart, handsome and had the same goals as she did. He asked her to marry him two months prior to her moving back to Port Charles. When she told him about her plans of moving back to Port Charles to open the Ward house back up, he told her that he couldn’t leave is law firm and that he wanted her to stay with him here. They broke up shortly after that.

“What’s wrong with you, you’ve been acting strange all day?” Elizabeth asked Jason as watched him sitting on the loveseat in the house that she share with her husband, Lucky and two children. Jason had been secretly seeing Jason for about two months now.

“Nothing,” Jason says as he “Why do you ask?”

“Well for one thing, you are sitting over there and I’m over here. You know we don’t have much time together today because Lucky will be coming home soon.” Elizabeth pouted as she sat on the loveseat across from him. Jason looked at the beautiful brunette sitting across from him. He fell in love with her shortly after he found out that they secretly shared a child together. They both agreed to keep it a secret for now until they figure out what they want to do. Up until a couple of hours ago, Jason was about to tell Elizabeth that he loved her and wanted to her to leave Lucky for him but now he wasn’t so sure.

“I’m sorry,” Jason says getting up and moving to the loveseat beside Elizabeth. He then put his arm around her shoulder. Elizabeth smiled as she nested her head on his shoulder. As he sat there with Elizabeth he could help but think about what took place earlier that day. He couldn’t stop thinking about Keesha. Why did she come back to Port Charles?

Jason decided to push his thoughts of Keesha away and try to focus on Elizabeth. He looked down at her and with is free hand he lifted her chin up and kissed her lips gently leading them to make love.

Keesha had successfully finished unpacking her belongings. It took her a little long than she had anticipated because she had been preoccupied all morning. She did not realize the effect Jason still had on her. She could still feel in those baby blue eyes watching her every move.

Just then she heard her cell phone ringing snapping her out of her thoughts. She went to the night stand where she laid her phone down. She picked it up and saw Faith’s name displayed on the screen.

“What’s up Faith?” Keesha says trying to sound cheerful.

“Have you made it to Port Charles yet?” Faith asked.

“Yes, I got in a couple of hours ago. I just got finished unpacking my things now.”

“So, how is the place?”

“It’s beautiful.”

“I’m so glad you like it. It’s the least I could do since you insisted on moving back there.” Keesha shook her head as her cousin went on and on about how she arranged for the Penthouse to be fully furnished. She loved her cousin with all her heart but sometimes she felt like she was trying to control her. “Thanks again Faith for furnishing the Penthouse, but you know I could have furnished it on my own.” Keesha says after Faith finally finished talking.

“Yes, I know but you are doing to have your hands full already trying to open up the Ward House. I’m just trying to look out for you. Oh, by the way, Dominick called.”

“Why didn’t he call my cell phone?”

“I don’t know, but he wanted to know if you were still there. I told him that you had left this morning. He sounded really bad Keesha. I still don’t understand why you left a good man here while you go back to Port Charles.”

“Like I told you, Faith, there was nothing for me there.”

“You have a rich, handsome man like Dominick here.”

“I wanted to move to here, he wanted to stay there, there is nothing I could do about that. So, what are you plans for tonight?” Keesha says changing the subject.
